UPDATE: Gov. Ige signed the bill into law on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. The link to “Act 104” can be found here. Hawaii Governor David Ige is expected to sign Senate Bill 2571, which will prohibit the sale and distribution of OTC sunscreens containing oxybenzone and octinoxate, two ingredients that advocates contend are damaging coral reefs and ocean life.
